Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-07-30
These terms govern your use of AskMyDocs, the document-intelligence service available at askmydocs.io and app.askmydocs.io. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use AskMyDocs on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf and represent that you may do so.
The service
AskMyDocs lets you upload documents or connect cloud drives, then ask questions and receive AI-generated answers with citations to your source documents. Answers are generated from the documents accessible to the asking user; permissions configured in your workspace are enforced during retrieval.
AI answers can be wrong or incomplete. Citations exist so you can verify — for legal, financial, medical or other consequential decisions, always check the cited source. The service is not a substitute for professional advice.
Your account
Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Workspace admins control roles, teams, document permissions, billing and member removal for their workspace, and are responsible for those choices.
Your content
- Your documents remain yours. You grant us only the license needed to store, process, index and display them to operate the service.
- You must have the right to upload or sync the content you bring, and to grant workspace members the access you configure.
- We do not use your documents to train general-purpose AI models.
- Cloud drive sync is read-only; we never modify or delete content in your connected drives.
Acceptable use
Don’t use AskMyDocs to:
- store or process content you have no right to, or content that is unlawful;
- attempt to access other workspaces’ data or circumvent permissions, rate limits or quotas;
- probe, scan or test the service’s security except through responsible disclosure to [email protected];
- resell the service or misrepresent AI answers as human-verified where that matters.
Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in INR via Razorpay. Plan limits (queries, storage, users, documents) are described on the pricing page; when a limit is reached, the related capability pauses until the period resets or you upgrade — your data remains accessible. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel from the admin console; downgrades and cancellations apply from the next billing cycle, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise.
Termination
You can stop using the service and request offboarding at any time — we’ll delete your workspace data as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms, and we’ll notify you unless the breach makes that inappropriate.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the product with the date above refreshed. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
